Welcome to our web site

Jim  Clatworthy was born at home at Coxhill Farm, North Newton on 28th of January 1957.He has lived and worked on the farm ever since and is still there with his family and Limousin cattle. He married a local vet, Michelle, in 1993 and they have been blessed with two children, Hannah in 1995 and James in 1997.

Jim has twice undergone brain surgery to remove a tumour, unfortunately, it has proved to be malignant and he will need a lot of further treatment.

Jim was accepted onto a clinical trial for a promising new treatment developed by a company based in Israel and America. It is not being trialed in the UK but there are several centres in Europe, namely France and Italy. Jim was accepted at the French centre in Paris. This involved travelling to Paris on a regular basis, but Jims participation in that trial has now ceased.

Jim has now started on a new clinical trial in Belgium, so are travelling there now instead of Paris, so we still need to run the appeal to help with travel, drugs, MRI scans and other expenses not covered by the trial. The treatment in Belgium involves what is known as dendritic cell therapy. Basically, it is making a vaccine against Jim’s tumour to try and stimulate his immune system to fight it.

If you are able to help in any way, have fund raising ideas or would like to donate to Jims fund please contact Michelle via the details on the contact page. We do still need your help
